PLACES
Whether it’s a shady corner of Monet’s Garden in Giverny, the cool of a French river in August, or the vibrant hues of a seaweed-filled rockpool in Pembrokeshire, these moments resonate deeply.
I recall lying in a hammock in Australia, watching golden light flicker through swaying palms, or standing barefoot by a Cornish harbour, painting with sandy toes as rigging clattered and salty air filled my lungs.

These experiences imprint themselves in my memory, captured in fleeting watercolour sketches or simply stored in my subconscious. Over time, they evolve into paintings that reflect those memories, processed and transformed into visual expressions.

This evolving series captures fragments of sunlight and glimpses of blue sky, inviting the viewer to focus on life’s simple pleasures while also tempting them into the mystery of the shaded corners, to savour life’s simple pleasures while embracing the emotions woven into those stolen moments.
